Who is Bocasay?

BOCASAY is a SAS (société par actions simplifiée, a French simplified joint-stock company) registered under French company registration number (SIREN) 750521684. According to the Annuaire des entreprises, it was registered on 2 March 2012 and operates in computer programming. For 2024 it published revenue of €3,257,508 and a net profit of €126,519.

The 2019 press presents Bocasay as founded in 2012 by two partners. A 2023 article gives 2013: according to the Bocasay website, that date corresponds to the opening of its Madagascar centre.

A company in the Maltem group

The register lists no individual among the company officers. The SAS is chaired by a company, Maltem Consulting Group, and managed by another company, DMZ CONSULTING. Maltem had announced a 30% equity stake in February 2019, according to Le Monde Informatique. That publication then counted 110 employees at Bocasay.

In 2023, an IT Park Uzbekistan article presented Bocasay as a company of the Maltem group (1,200 people in 14 countries), alongside Esokia. On 16 December 2025, several groups announced exclusive talks to acquire 100% of Maltem Consulting Group, subject to approval by Morocco's competition authority. This announcement does not mention Bocasay, and its completion was not confirmed by the sources consulted.

The register places the head office in Levallois-Perret since 30 June 2026, after Neuilly-sur-Seine from 2018 to 2026. The Bocasay website still gives Neuilly-sur-Seine.

What services does Bocasay offer?

Bocasay provides web, mobile and software development from centres located outside France (the so-called "offshore" model). According to the France page of its website, it works "in dedicated team mode" or "in fixed-price mode" (a price set for a project). In the first case, developers based in Madagascar work for a client, with management from France. Bocasay says it aims to strengthen the client's teams, not replace them.

The website mentions React.js developers (front-end, the visible part of an application) and Java Spring developers (back-end, the server side), as well as WordPress, Drupal and Symfony in a 2016 review. Bocasay describes an agile method, with daily and weekly meetings. Its teams "plug into" the client's tools: tickets, version control, messaging.

French is emphasised: according to the website, the Malagasy teams "speak and work in French". The stated targets are software vendors, IT companies, SMEs and chief technology officers. No offer outside IT (customer support, back-office, accounting) was found.

How much does Bocasay cost?

Bocasay does not publish a price list: prices are set on quote. Its page "Cost of a web developer in Madagascar" gives only market averages: a daily rate (TJM) of €100 to €150 per day in Madagascar, compared with €350 to €750 in France. These figures have no visible update date and are not a price commitment.

According to the website, as reported by the La Fabrique du Net listing, setup takes 2 to 4 weeks. The contract is signed with the French head office and is governed by French law, according to Bocasay. The minimum commitment, notice period, trial period and setup fees are not published.

Where do Bocasay's teams work?

According to its website, Bocasay has more than 100 staff in Antananarivo (Madagascar), in a subsidiary created in 2013. It reports about 20 people in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi) and about 20 in Mauritius. In 2019, openings in Antsirabe and Singapore were also announced; none of the sources consulted confirms them.

Headcounts vary by source and scope. The register shows 3 to 5 employees for the French company in 2024. The About page of the careers site reports more than 160 staff in 4 countries, the press 110 in 2019 and 150 in 2023. The foreign entities do not appear in the French register, and their local registrations were not found. Working hours and working arrangements (office or remote) are not published.

What do reviews say about Bocasay?

No independent customer reviews were found. No Bocasay page was found on Trustpilot, Clutch, Sortlist or Malt, and La Fabrique du Net shows 0 reviews. No page was found on Glassdoor or Indeed, nor any Google rating. The website names no client: you therefore need to ask for references directly.

What are Bocasay's strengths?

  • Track record: company registered since 2012, accounts published, profit in 2024.

  • Three production countries: Madagascar, Vietnam and Mauritius.

  • Two modes: dedicated team or fixed price, according to the website.

  • French language and French law: emphasised by the company.

  • Group: part of the Maltem group, present in several countries.

Points to check before choosing Bocasay

  1. Price: ask for the all-inclusive monthly cost, by profile and by country.

  2. Employer: 3 to 5 employees in the register, more than 160 according to the website. Which entity employs the developers, which one invoices, and under which law?

  3. Shareholding: Maltem Consulting Group, chair of the SAS, is the subject of a takeover announcement. Will Bocasay's governance change? What guarantees of continuity are there?

  4. Security: no certification (ISO 27001 or equivalent) was found. Ask for the certificates and the access security measures.

  5. Contract: ask in writing for the minimum commitment, the notice period, the trial period and the setup fees.

  6. Start: what contractual start date, and how is a developer who leaves replaced?

  7. References: ask for contactable clients in your sector.

  8. Address: check the address and the entity that will appear on the contract (Levallois-Perret or Neuilly-sur-Seine).

Which companies is Bocasay suited to?

Based on its public offer, Bocasay targets software vendors, IT companies and SMEs with a need for web, mobile or software development. It also addresses chief technology officers who want to strengthen a team with French-speaking developers, under a contract governed by French law. It is less suited to companies looking to outsource non-IT functions, as no such offer was found.

What are the alternatives to Bocasay?

Esokia

Esokia also belongs to the Maltem group: it is therefore not independent of Bocasay. According to IT Park Uzbekistan, it was founded in 2009, has more than 100 staff and is based in France, Mauritius and Madagascar.

Neoshore

According to a job listings aggregator, Neoshore reports a presence in Vietnam, Madagascar and Mauritius, with positions in Antananarivo in software testing (QA) and DevOps. This source is secondary: the offer still needs to be checked with the company.

MaaSil Inc

MaaSil, the publisher of this article, provides Employer of Record (EoR) services (an Employer of Record-type secondment) for consultants based in Madagascar, 100% integrated into the client's teams. According to MaaSil, the company handles recruitment, contracts, payroll and HR follow-up; the client manages the assignments. MaaSil covers support, back-office and marketing functions, as well as senior IT profiles such as full stack developers.

MaaSil publishes its pricing on its Pricing page: €55 to €100 excl. VAT per day for general profiles, or about €1,150 excl. VAT per month, and €120 to €250 excl. VAT per day for senior developers, or about €2,600 excl. VAT per month. MaaSil reports more than 100 consultants and more than 40 clients. See also our article on IT outsourcing.

MaaSil is suited, by its own criteria, to French-speaking SMEs, startups and mid-sized companies that want to integrate dedicated staff. It is less suited to very short one-off projects and to needs carried out exclusively in France. For a fixed-price project or a team in Vietnam or Mauritius, Bocasay offers these options according to its website; MaaSil works only from Madagascar.
