Who is eTech?

The company writes its name "eTech" in its texts, "etech" on its logo and "Etech Consulting" in the title of its website. According to its Société page, eTech is an "ESN et SSII" (the former name for ESNs) active in Madagascar "since 2005". Its address is the Trade Tower building, in the Ivandry district of Antananarivo.

The company name, legal form and Malagasy NIF and STAT numbers (tax and statistical identifiers) are not published: the "Mention Légale" link in the footer leads to no page. A French company with the same name, ETECH CONSULTING, registered in Billère, is a separate entity.

A declared subsidiary of the ArkeUp group

eTech presents itself as a "subsidiary of the ArkeUp Paris group". In the French register, ARKEUP is a SAS (simplified joint-stock company) registered under French company registration number (SIREN) 538 662 602. It was created on 12 December 2011, has its head office in Paris, share capital of €260,000 and 10 to 19 employees (2024 bracket). No annual accounts are published there.

ARKEUP is chaired by another company, TOGETH'UP, created in 2000 in Paris. According to ArkeUp's legal notice, the manager of TOGETH'UP is the publication director of the arkeup.com website; eTech's website presents this same person as its managing director. A business directory, Prospeo, reproduces a text stating that eTech is "represented in France by the company Togeth'up". This text was not found on eTech's website.

Figures that vary by source

eTech's website sometimes states activity "since 2005", meaning about twenty years, and sometimes "13+ years of experience" in its counter; the Odoo listing says 18 years. The website claims "700+ projects completed", the Odoo listing "600+ projects". In November 2021, an article on ict.io cited about 350 engineers, 300 projects and 40% growth in the first half of 2021, according to the company.

eTech's blog publishes articles up to 20 July 2026, notably on artificial intelligence: an internal contest, the eTech AI Challenge, in 2025, and an "AI in Madagascar" event for executives in March 2026.

What services does eTech offer?

eTech describes itself as an IT services company and offshore provider (production carried out outside the client's country), specialising in "cutting-edge technology engineering". Its page "Nos offres" lists ten offerings:

  • mobile applications;

  • data science and machine learning;

  • geographic data ("surveying and BIM", 2D and 3D plans);

  • ERP, Odoo specialist;

  • gaming and 2D and 3D animation;

  • connected devices;

  • business tools;

  • cloud solutions;

  • web and e-commerce solutions;

  • systems and networks (hosted solutions).

BIM refers to the digital model of a building. The website states sometimes "40+ technologies" in the homepage text, sometimes "50+ mastered technologies" in its counter.

eTech's website does not describe an engagement model: it mentions neither a dedicated team nor staff provision. According to the text reproduced by Prospeo, the company works "on a time-and-materials or fixed-price basis" (time and materials: billing for time spent; fixed price: a set price for a project). No customer service, back-office or call centre offering was found on the website.

The Odoo partnership

On the Odoo partner listing, eTech appears at the "Silver" level, with 2 certified experts for each of Odoo versions 17, 18 and 19. The listing shows 41 references, a customer retention rate of 94% and a largest reference of "200+ users".

The most represented sectors are IT, communication and marketing (4 references), followed by services and consulting (3). Named references include Chocolaterie Robert SA, AC2V Services and GROUPE SODIAT, as well as group entities. The Odoo "Gold Partner" status displayed by ArkeUp applies to ArkeUp, not to eTech.

How much does eTech cost?

eTech publishes no pricing: no daily rate, no fixed-price quote, no monthly cost. The only call to action on the Offers page is "Demander un devis rapide" (request a quick quote). The text reproduced by Prospeo mentions "a very competitive rate without lowering quality", with no figure.

The minimum commitment, trial period, set-up fees and included scope are not published either. The footer announces general terms of sale, but the corresponding link leads to no page as of 17 October 2026.

Where do eTech's teams work?

According to its website, eTech produces from Antananarivo, at the Trade Tower building in Ivandry; its systems and networks page speaks of "Our team in Madagascar". In 2021, ict.io also mentioned an office at the University of Fianarantsoa, information not found on the current website.

No eTech-owned office was found in France: the French presence goes through ArkeUp, in Paris. Working hours, 24/7 coverage, remote work and service languages are not published; the website is written in French. No ISO 27001 (information security) or ISO 9001 (quality) certification is mentioned on the website or on the Odoo listing.

What do reviews say about eTech?

No public customer review was found for eTech on Trustpilot, Google or Clutch. As for employees, eTech's Glassdoor pages in Madagascar were not accessible at the time of consultation: no overall score or number of reviews could be recorded. No Indeed page was found.

Beware of namesakes: other "Etech" pages concern a different company, whose reviews mention India. The "Cas d'études" (case studies) page of eTech's website is empty; customer references appear only on the Odoo listing.

What are eTech's strengths?

  • Declared longevity: activity in Madagascar "since 2005", according to the website.

  • Odoo partnership: Silver level, 41 references and 94% retention displayed.

  • Broad catalogue: ten offerings, from web and mobile to data, cloud and geographic data.

  • French group: declared link to ArkeUp, a Parisian SAS active since 2011.

  • Social commitment: according to its CSR page, eTech highlights the E-lles project, the Tamberina association and an internship programme, the "Training Trainee Center".

Points to check before choosing eTech

  1. Contracting entity: which company signs the contract (the Malagasy entity, ArkeUp or TOGETH'UP)? The website's legal notice is not readable.

  2. Price: ask for the full cost per profile, on a time-and-materials and fixed-price basis. What does this price include (workstation, supervision, replacement)?

  3. Assigned staff: the website claims over 500 engineers, the Odoo listing "80+ Odoo experts" and 2 certified experts per version. How many people will work on your project?

  4. Security: no ISO certification is displayed. What security and data protection policy (GDPR, the European regulation) applies?

  5. Ownership and exit: who owns the code and the data, and what are the conditions at the end of the contract?

  6. References: can you speak to reference customers in your sector?

  7. Commitment: minimum term, notice period, business continuity plan, working language and common hours with France.

Which companies is eTech suited to?

Based on its public offering, eTech is aimed at companies that have a digital project to outsource: web or mobile application, Odoo ERP, data, cloud or geographic data. Its 2025 and 2026 articles mainly target Malagasy companies and their executives. Companies looking for an official Odoo partner integrator will find verifiable information on the Odoo listing.

On the basis of its website, eTech is less suited to companies that want to bring in a dedicated team member for a support function (accounting, human resources, customer service): no staff provision offering is described there.

What alternatives are there to eTech?

No directly comparable IT services company was verified for this comparison. The players below also work from Madagascar, with different models.

Outsourcia

According to its website, Outsourcia has operated for over 20 years in customer relations, BPO (business process outsourcing) and ITO (IT outsourcing). It claims "4,300 employees" in 4 countries (France, Morocco, Tunisia and Madagascar), including 2 sites in Antananarivo.

Vivetic Group

According to its website, Vivetic Group offers customer relations, BPO and digital and IT services. The group says it is "based in France and in the Indian Ocean, in Madagascar" and claims "1,800 employees".

MaaSil Inc

MaaSil, the publisher of this article, provides Employer of Record (EoR) services (staff provision) for consultants based in Madagascar, fully integrated into the client's teams. According to MaaSil, the company handles recruitment, the contract, payroll and HR follow-up; the client directs the assignments. MaaSil covers support and back-office functions as well as senior IT developers.

MaaSil publishes its pricing on its Pricing page: €55 to €100 excl. VAT per day for general profiles, or about €1,150 excl. VAT per month, and €120 to €250 excl. VAT per day for senior developers. MaaSil claims over 100 consultants and over 40 clients on its Why us page. See also our article on IT outsourcing.

By its own criteria, MaaSil suits French-speaking SMEs, startups and mid-sized companies that want to bring in dedicated team members. It is less suited to very short one-off projects and to needs carried out exclusively in France. For a fixed-price project or an Odoo integration by an official partner, eTech offers these options according to public sources.
