BuyCo, the SaaS for container transport

BuyCo publishes a SaaS platform for managing maritime container transport (TMS). It connects shippers, shipping lines and freight forwarders, and runs on a 100% API-driven architecture. On the technical side, BuyCo relies on a Ruby, Redis, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, CircleCI, Datadog and Grafana ecosystem.

The challenge: cutting development costs without sacrificing quality

Relying on freelancers had resulted in exhausting turnover and a lack of commitment. BuyCo was looking for the stability of a dedicated profile, under a fully dedicated staffing model, able to overcome concerns around soft skills and remote work.

The solution: bespoke sourcing and an integrated developer

MaaSil carried out two months of bespoke sourcing to find the right profile: a fullstack JavaScript developer. Integrated into the team, he works with BuyCo's stack, tools and processes, and manages his projects like an in-house employee.
