Who is Webhelp?

A group founded in France in 2000

According to secondary sources, Webhelp was founded in June 2000 by two former consultants of Bain & Company. The original French company was registered on 22 June 2000 under the French company registration number (SIREN) 431 977 370, visible on the Annuaire des entreprises. The investment fund Charterhouse Capital Partners became majority shareholder in 2011, followed by the Belgian group GBL (Groupe Bruxelles Lambert) in 2019.

The acquisition by Concentrix

On 29 March 2023, Concentrix announced its combination with Webhelp, valued at around $4.8 billion including net debt, according to its announcement press release. After the transaction, Webhelp's former shareholders were expected to hold around 22% of the combined group. According to Concentrix's annual reports filed with the SEC (the US securities regulator), the transaction was completed on 25 September 2023.

Webhelp is now part of Concentrix

Webhelp is now part of Concentrix and the brand is no longer used commercially. The group first used the transitional name "Concentrix + Webhelp", then the single name "Concentrix" from 22 April 2024, according to its rebranding press release. "Webhelp" remains a registered trademark of Concentrix Corporation.

In France, the original company is now called CONCENTRIX S.A.S. FRANCE and keeps the same SIREN. The date of this change varies by source: Societe.com gives 4 October 2024, whereas the international LEI register (legal entity identifier) gives 5 February 2025. The webhelp.com website could not be reached during our checks. MaaSil publishes a separate article on Concentrix; this one covers Webhelp and what the brand has become.

What services does Webhelp offer?

Webhelp's offer before the merger

In a 2022 review, Webhelp described itself as a BPO (business process outsourcing) provider specialising in customer experience. It stated that it managed customer journeys in both B2C and B2B: sales, customer service, content moderation and credit management. The document also mentions "Webhelp Anywhere", a remote or hybrid working model, and an "impact sourcing" programme, through which 12% of the workforce was recruited in 2022.

The contract model, client sectors and working languages cannot be consulted.

The current offer under the Concentrix name

A company searching for "Webhelp" today will deal with Concentrix. The 10-K annual report for fiscal year 2025 describes four areas: strategy and design, data and analytics, enterprise technology and digital operations, including content moderation and finance and compliance functions. The group adds its artificial intelligence (AI) suite iX, with iX Hero and iX Hello. This report describes Webhelp as a customer experience player "with significant operations in Europe, Latin America and Africa".

How much does Webhelp cost?

Pricing is not published, either for Webhelp or for Concentrix: prices are set on quotation. No public information indicates a minimum commitment, a trial period or set-up fees.

Concentrix's annual report states that contracts are mainly based on "a fixed unit price per transaction" or on another measure of output. Revenue is also calculated on staff hours. These rules apply to the whole group, not specifically to the former Webhelp scope.

Where do Webhelp's teams work?

The figures published before the merger vary from one document to another. At the end of 2022, Webhelp stated either "more than 110,000" employees in "more than 60 countries", or around 125,000 employees. In March 2023, Concentrix's press release mentioned "almost 125,000" employees in 58 countries. On 30 November 2025, the Concentrix group reported around 455,000 employees across 483 sites and 74 countries.

In France

The French company's head office is in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. According to the trade magazine En-Contact, the Etrelles site, near Vitré (Brittany), opened in 2007, has around 500 people and presents itself as "Concentrix, formerly Webhelp".

In Madagascar

According to the Malagasy newspaper Newsmada, Webhelp had three sites in Madagascar in November 2022: Antananarivo (2013), Toamasina (2019) and Andranomena, inaugurated on 17 November 2022. The local managing director at the time mentioned around 3,500 employees and a target of more than 6,000 by 2026. The current headcount is not published.

What do reviews say about Webhelp?

No reviews from business customers were found. Public reviews come mainly from employees: they provide information on working conditions, not on service quality.

  • Trustpilot: the webhelp.com page has 160 reviews, with no overall score displayed. The visible reviews, from November 2024 to May 2026, are all one-star and mention management, payroll and monitoring of breaks.

  • Glassdoor: 2.7/5 from 25 reviews according to a search result, with 17% recommendation.

  • Press: En-Contact reported in March 2025 union alerts and strikes linked to pay negotiations at the Etrelles site. According to the magazine, these claims were not substantiated and no official finding was mentioned.

What are Webhelp's strengths?

  • Scale: the former Webhelp scope relies on a listed group of 455,000 employees in 74 countries.

  • Recognition: Webhelp described itself as a "Leader" in Gartner's 2022 Magic Quadrant for outsourced customer service.

  • Group certifications: ISO 27001:2022 (information security), ISO 22301:2019 (business continuity), SOC 2 Type II and PCI DSS 4.0.1 (card payments). Their site-by-site scope is not published.

  • French-speaking presence: historic sites in France and Madagascar.

Points to check before choosing Webhelp

  1. Which entity are you signing with? Ask for the company name, the SIREN and the general terms and conditions.

  2. Is a Webhelp contract signed before 2024 carried over unchanged (pricing, service levels, subcontractors)? Ask for written confirmation.

  3. What is the all-inclusive monthly cost per agent, and what is the billing basis: hour or transaction?

  4. Which site, in which country, will handle your service, and with which certifications?

  5. What are the minimum term, the notice period for exit and the penalties?

  6. What team stability is planned (staff turnover)?

  7. What role will AI play and which customer data is retained (GDPR, hosting)?

Which companies is Webhelp suited to?

Concentrix, which now carries the offer, targets "the world's most complex enterprises", notably in banking, insurance, healthcare and retail. This format suits large accounts that outsource a high volume of customer contacts across several countries. No offer aimed at SMEs is published. Former Webhelp clients are mainly advised to check the continuity of their contract.

What are the alternatives to Webhelp?

Concentrix, the direct successor

Concentrix is not a competitor of Webhelp but its successor: Webhelp has been part of the group since 2023. For an analysis of the current group, see our article on Concentrix.

Teleperformance

Teleperformance, another large customer relations group of French origin, completed the acquisition of Majorel (82,000 employees in 45 countries in 2022) on 8 November 2023, according to Bertelsmann, Majorel's former shareholder.

MaaSil Inc

MaaSil, the publisher of this article, offers Employer of Record (EoR) staffing of consultants based in Madagascar, 100% integrated into the client's teams. According to MaaSil, the company handles recruitment, payroll and HR follow-up; the client directs the assignments. MaaSil states that it has more than 100 consultants and an average assignment length of 3.5 years (why MaaSil).

Its published pricing ranges from €55 to €100 excl. VAT (excluding taxes) per day for general profiles, and from €120 to €250 excl. VAT per day for senior developers. This model targets French-speaking SMEs, startups and mid-sized companies. It is less suited to high-volume call centres open 24 hours a day in several languages, very short projects and needs exclusively in France. See also our guide to evaluating call centre providers.
